8.18.09 -Work

Busy day at the office today.. meanwhile at home the counters SHOULD be installed today (Fingers crossed for perfect fit) meaning that we can get the kitchen crap out of the guest room, and get the plumbing hooked back up - meaning the washer will be in working order again, since it is on the same shutoff valve as the dishwasher, and I can do laundry and have some of my dependable "workhorses" of my wardrobe back in circulation!!

Ahh - Monday... can't trust that day...
Notice that the entire contents of my lower kitchen cabinets is currently residing in the guest bedroom, as we deal with the demo of our old counters, and the installation of new ones tomorrow.. fun fun fun.

8.14.09 -Work, Professional Event

Great, I look like someone tried to replace a girl in a Robert Palmer video with a librarian... (and most of my regulars are probably too young to even get that reference, so I am an old one at that.)
Oh well - brunch event today, and then hopefully home to start my weekend.

I am probably biting my lip in this pic because I secretly dread the annual all-building HOA meeting I have tonight after work.. I love the IDEA of being on my building's HOA board, love being informed and involved in decisions.. but being involved frequently means being blamed for anything rummy that happens.
Do I look approachable but not gullible today? Hope so...
