12.29.2010 - Early New Year's dinner with The Hub

I'm in my jammies enjoying the snow (from inside) today, but we headed out to Mizuna for a nice dinner last night - a few days before NYE, avoiding the crowds, the snow and cold that was forcast to hit the area starting today, and the restrictions of set menus that so many nicer restaurants seem to favor for NYE.

There is no two ways about it - I am slobbing it today. Honestly, right as I was nodding off on the sofa and about to get up and go to bed, I saw this story on the news.  It broke my heart - I could not make myself stop thinking about it, no matter what I tried. It was a long night of praying, teary cuddling with the dog, and staring blankly at the the Disney Channel.
 I guess it shows in how I look today. I wish I was home with my family anyway.

Hmmm - this is not cute now that I see it here. And my cords are starting to rub together and make noise when I walk.  Oh dear.
(Pardon the mess - the bag actually has more maternity clothes from Sissy that I need to go through, and the shelf in the background comes into the guest room every Christmas to make room for the tree- but just look at the cutie doggie!)
