What is your favorite season for fashion, and why?

I like them all, but I actually think I look forward to Fall the most, at least in terms of clothing.. I love layers, love rich, thick fabrics, and I LOVE coats and jackets...

Oh well... Spring dress with lots of black to tough it up a bit... (I look bummed out because I was facing that exact same window... sigh..)

3.28.09 -Nuggets Game

Yep, got a great deal on some tickets and took The Hub to the b-ball game... (good wifey).. And yes, those are some less-than-hot ancient American Eagle platformy slip-on loafers... we park pretty far away and I wasn't trudging all over in heals!

Ready to lend my muscle to friends who moved over the weekend... (actually, that sweatshirt got ditched for tattooed bare arms pretty fast - I was WORKIN'!)

Sigh... blizzard is over... and the aftermath isn't near enough to keep us from going in to the office...
Damn...
(I know, I know - I'm slobbin' it today.. I have "Mt. Dirty Laundry" to tackle this weekend.. besides, it was gross and sloppy outside when I got dressed..)

3.26.09 SNOW DAY!

Tah-dah - bundled and ready to run an important blizzard errand - trip to the liquor store!!(actually, I ended up tucking my pants into my boots so my pant-legs wouldn't get soaked) Office was closed, as was most of the Colorado front range today, so other than this little outing, and walking the dog (dressed like the little bro from A Christmas Story, no pic will EVER be provided!!) I spent the day in my sweat pants and my Grandpa's big blue cardigan...

I did have a PERFECT hair day while I was there, in my opinion, anyway... (Shareena has done it again) added bonus? You can see my tough girl tattoos... this girl is hiding a wild side under those cute cardies, folks..

Anyhoo, I wore all my easiest outfits, really... my cute brown patterned empire waisted dress, my most wrinkle resistant skirts.. and lots of mellow, errand running kind of outfits...

It was fabulously relaxing.. I LOVED it... so, so very much..

03.20.09 In Indy

My twin sissy and me, getting ready to head to Petersen's Steakhouse for an AMAZING meal (thanks brother-in-law!!) I was wearing my black and white floral skirt, black tights, and flats - but I really just wanted to show off my cutie patootie sister!! She is a bit over 5 months pregnant with my nephew!! (Their first kiddo..)

Ok, I'm in Indy.... spending a lot of time in flannel pants with my furry Westie dog nephew, curled up on the sofa in sissy's media room...

03.18.09 - Traveling

I don't know about you, but I have a uniform for when I travel.. I always dress in the same basic clothes... 3/4 sleeve, light weight t-shirt, loose-but-not-dumpy dark jeans, mid-height heeled slip-on shoes with a fairly square toe box, and a wrap/scarf because although I can't stand being too hot while getting to the plane, I am usually cold once we are in the air... usually most of the uniform is black, it is always topped off by big sunnies and a giant purse that can fit all of my carry-on stuff (and I carry a lot!) Hair is worn down or in a low side pony so I can lay my head back.. (Which I usually need to, what with the Xanex and the wine that accompany me on plane trips... ) Something like this:


One other thing that usually has to accompany me on the plane is not at all cute, but not really a choice either... The cooler I use to carry my once weekly M.S. injection, which likes to be kept cold.. (modeled here by the always stylish fuzz-bucket, Potter):

It is lunch box sized, and not terrible - just "industrial," I guess... if I traveled more I would probably invest in something cute.. but it works and it is very lightweight and fairly compact...

Off to Indy for me...

3.17.09 - Work

I had on a different outfit, but then remembered that it is St. Patrick's Day, and didn't feel like being pinched.. (goodness knows there are a few dirty old men around who are just WAITING for today so they can pinch away!)... Also, I changed up my usual updo for this one from HairGirlDenver, who I am proud to call my hairstylist, and the most stylish person I know IRL...
Hair turned out really great - fun!
Off to Indy tomorrow to visit my preggo twin sissy - I will try to update a few times from there!

3.14.09 - Oh no..

I have committed my own fashion pet-peeve... sticking on a janky hat and hiding my hair instead of doing it!! (In my defense, except there is none, the dog needed to go out and I didn't want to keep him waiting) So now i much sing the "funky hat" song from Wizards of Waverly Place to myself:

Tonight my friend is throwing a 30th birthday roast for her husband at a local cigar store... Scotch, cigars, and great friends telling funny stories? Now that's living... I think she is a genius...

Dang - I didn't realize it until I saw the picture, but my old faithful denim Editor Pants are getting to be too big - they are covering my shoes completely!!
Oh well - I blessedly get to have a drink with a girlfriend tonight, and even tho it won't be happy hour like I used to do at my favorite neighborhood haunt (with tons of food, many glasses of proccessco and a large tab I didn't really mind,) it will be great just to be there, and to see my friend..

It is effin' cold today.... I love my pink houndstooth patterned tights, looking at them warms me up!! ( I just wish they were a bit thicker - it is freezing in the office today!)

This is what I was wearing on Friday, Feb. 27th.. We had a Restaurant Week dinner reservation with several other couples Uptown that evening, and I was looking so forward to it...

This is also what I was wearing when my Husband called to say he had just been laid off from the job that has allowed us to live very comfortably... (and, thank God, build up a very nice savings..) I canceled dinner..

This is pretty much what we both wore for the weekend.... well, this and a big glass of something boozey...
